Are you the 2nd generation in UK?

My parents emigrated from HK and I was born in the UK, so I guess that makes me 2nd gen?

Yes. According to most people, the first generation are always the immigrants.

But to some others, the newly arrived immigrants do not count. So, it depends on who you're talking to. For me, it doesn't matter much.
